About Scotsman Services
Jay is a lifelong Nova Scotian who understands the expectations and values of local communities. Having grown up in the province and worked across multiple regions, he now proudly serves clients throughout the Annapolis Valley, Halifax Regional Municipality, the South Shore, and surrounding areas.
Before building Scotsman Services, Jay dedicated much of his career to public service and helping others. He served as a Halifax firefighter and worked as a civil servant with the Government of Nova Scotia. He also continues to teach first aid and emergency response as a St. John Ambulance instructor, helping individuals and organizations develop lifesaving skills.
These experiences reflect Jay’s core approach to business: service, responsibility, and trust. Whether responding to emergencies, teaching safety skills, or working on a property project, Jay believes in showing up prepared, working safely, and treating people with respect.
